COAST HP5 112 Lumens Pocket Flashlight
The Coast HP5 is appealing in many ways. First, only requires a single AA cell to function. It’s amazingly bright for a flashlight powered by the battery we all have lying around the house. Although the package states it can last over 4 hours on a single battery on high, it seems to last around 2 hours before it gets a little too dim. It might stay dim for another 2 hours but that’s not extremely convincing. But two hours is still a long time to be producing this amount of light from a single AA battery.
Another feature which makes this a great flashlight is the adjustable beam. Sometimes when you are trying to see that part underneath your car just a little bit better, this feature can really come in handy. The front bezel simply slides in and out in order for this to work. It can also be locked into place by turning it.
Its made of aluminum and is very sturdy. It can be dropped again and again and continue to function. The small size is really great because it easily fits into a pocket and doesn’t take up much space.
Coast definitely created a nice flashlight when they designed the HP5. It’s certainly worth the investment if you need a small flashlight to use around the house or to keep as a spare. AA batteries are everywhere and this is not a bad flashlight to own several of.
